A Tell the Next Generation Conference: Guided by God’s Truth

9 a.m.–3 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025
Lutheran High School of St. Charles

We become and grow as disciples of Jesus Christ by His power at work through His means of grace. The truth proclaimed to us in His Word is powerful to keep us growing as His disciples every day. This conference seeks to encourage and empower homes to grow in discipleship every day through a renewed focus on Jesus and His Word. Executive Director of the Concordia Center for the Family Rev. Dr. Todd A. Biermann, will lead us through his "Life in God’s Way" series, which helps shape our worldview, strengthen family discipleship, and navigate life transitions with purpose and grace.

The key scripture for our conference is “Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.” (Psalm 25:4-5). With this powerful reminder that God is our guide, we’ll explore how families can align their lives with God’s truth through the gift of discipleship.

Parents, elders, Sunday School teachers, youth leaders, pastors, Directors of Christian Education, and anyone who is about creating Christ-centered homes for families of all stages and ages should attend. This is a practical and relevant conference for you and your congregation.

Plenary sessions:

Life in God’s Way: Worldview

What’s your worldview? What guides your thinking, planning, dreaming, and acting throughout every moment of every day? We all have a worldview. If it’s shaped by the world, we’re in for trouble. However, if our worldview is shaped by the Truth of God’s Word, it will guide us to a life of peace, contentment and lasting joy. Biermann provides a simple, memorable and Christ-centered presentation of God’s plan for such a life shaped by the truth of His Word. Based on the teachings in his award-winning 2016 book, “Handing Out Life: The Simple Way to Rewarding Relationships in All of Life,” this presentation will show how every home can delight in Christian discipleship every day.

Life in God’s Way: Family Discipleship

In Matt. 28:19-20a, Jesus instructs his disciples to “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you” (ESV). Concordia Center for the Family takes this seriously with its mission of uniting homes and congregations in making lifelong disciples of Jesus. Biermann shares how this happens in every family … parents with children, one person alone, blended families, grandparents with grandchildren, or any other family structure. Family discipleship prospers when homes and congregations unite to live according to God’s way (building on Biermann’s previous “Worldview” presentation).

Life in God’s Way: For ALL of Life

Once you have a worldview shaped by God’s Word of Truth that empowers and inspires you to love as Jesus loved you, it will guide and bless ALL of your relationships in life. Biermann will build on his earlier presentations to help you apply God’s Truth in this way. You’ll be equipped and inspired to live a purposeful and joyful life of love and witness in God’s way.
