Jean C. Haake
July 29, 1936 – April 25, 2025

Jean Haake entered into her eternal rest Friday, April 25, 2025, at the age of 88; daughter of the late Harold and Lucille Unger nee Glass; devoted wife of the late Daryl Haake; beloved mother of David (DeAnn) Haake and Lisa Haake; cherished grandmother of Marissa (Kyle) Blakeslee, Erica (Tristan Smith) Haake, Daniel Haake, Stephen Haake, Blake (Adrienne) Parker, Taylr Haake and Calysta Haake; sister of the late Richard (survived by Margaret) Unger and many more family members, students, and friends.

Jean, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and teacher, was married to her devoted husband for nearly 50 wonderful years—a testament to their enduring love and commitment. Their marriage was a beautiful example of partnership and affection, cherished by all who knew them.

Jean had a profound love for children and dedicated her life to teaching. As a Lutheran school teacher, she taught kindergarten and first grade, nurturing young minds with patience and kindness. Her passion for education and her students was evident in every lesson she taught.

Jean's love for her family was boundless. She treasured every moment spent with her children and grandchildren. Her home was always filled with love and was a sanctuary for her family. She had a lifetime love of reading, and her Bible was never far from her. She was also ready to discuss the latest episode of Dr. Phil with anyone who was interested.

A devout member of the Lutheran Church, Jean attended Bible study, taught Bible school and lived her faith with unwavering devotion. Her spiritual guidance and commitment to her church community were an inspiration to many.

Jean's legacy of love, faith, and education will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered with love and gratitude.

Her funeral was May 1, 2025, at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church, 4355 Butler Hill Rd, Saint Louis, MO 63128. Interment followed at Our Redeemer Cemetery.
