Early on Sunday morning, July 30, there was a fire at Mount Olive Lutheran Church off of Shaw Boulevard in St. Louis. Fire crews were called to the scene in the 4 a.m. hour. Significant damage was done in the education building. While the main sanctuary doesn’t appear to have fire damage, the extent of smoke damage is unknown at this time. No one was reported injured. While Sunday services couldn’t be held at Mount Olive, members were invited to nearby Messiah Lutheran for worship.
We ask for your prayers during this time, that the people of Mount Olive may be held in God’s arms and that He guide and bless the congregants, workers, leadership, and all affected following this disaster.
