Caring Connections: Supporting Peers Through Christ
October 24–25, 2025
Lutheran High School of Kansas City
Participants will stay overnight at the host site.
Registration Deadline: Oct. 15
High school youth from across the Missouri District are invited to a two-day training event focused on becoming Christ-centered leaders in their churches, schools, and communities.
This year’s theme—“Caring Connections: Supporting Peers Through Christ”—equips students with practical, Gospel-centered tools to support others in meaningful, compassionate ways. Youth will be introduced to the LOAP approach: Listen, Observe, Ask, and Pray. This model helps teens recognize when peers are struggling and respond with Christ-like care and encouragement.
Over the course of the weekend, students will engage with:
-
Video teaching sessions
-
Interactive talks and devotionals
-
Small-group discussions
-
Opportunities to grow in faith and fellowship
Participants will leave better prepared to care for both Christian and non-Christian friends with empathy and the hope we have in Jesus.
Cost: $75 per participant
Schedule: Starts at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, and ends at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25.
