Alan Freeman Accepts Call to LCMS Office of National Mission

Alan Freeman has accepted a call to serve as Associate Director of School Ministry in the LCMS Office of National Mission.  Freeman will begin his work in the new role in January.  He has served as the Missouri District Director of Schools since 2016.  Before coming to the District office, he served as Headmaster of Baltimore Lutheran School.  President Hagan said, “Alan Freeman has served the schools and educators of Missouri District with excellence.  The mentoring programs for new principals and teachers have both been tremendous blessings.  Alan’s leadership during the COVID-19 crisis has been greatly appreciated by our school administrators as they tried to navigate the difficult waters of online learning, changing protocols, and pandemic weariness.”

This creates a vacancy in the District office.  President Hagan has appointed Missouri District Board of Directors Janet Profilet and Marc Debrick to serve with him on a search committee.  Candidates for the position should be rostered church workers of the Synod with a minimum of five years experience in school administration and a Master of Educational Leadership/Administration.  For more information on the search process, go to the District website mo.lcms.org/position-available/.
