Thanks Be to God for Lutheran Schools

As National Lutheran Schools Week comes to a close, please join me in giving thanks to God for the countless blessings that He has showered upon us through Lutheran Schools.  Below we will actually count some of those blessings for which we are thankful!  President Lee Hagan

For 14,103 students at Missouri District Lutheran schools and early childhood centers, we give thanks to God!

For teachers trained at LCMS colleges and universities, we give thanks to God!

For teachers who have chosen to teach in Lutheran schools and support our mission, we give thanks to God!

For 46 Lutheran pre-schools, early childhood centers and day care centers in Missouri District, we give thanks to God!

For 49 Lutheran parish and association elementary schools in Missouri District, we give thanks to God!

For 10 Lutheran high schools in Missouri District, we give thanks to God!

For our six LCMS universities, we give thanks to God!

For both our LCMS seminaries, we give thanks to God!

For families who entrust their children to the care of our Lutheran schools, we give thanks to God!

For alumni and school advocates who support Lutheran schools with their prayers and financial support, we give thanks to God!

For school administrators who provide leadership and direction for Lutheran schools, we give thanks God!

For Pastors, Directors of Christian Education and Parish Music, Deaconesses, and other church staff who serve in and alongside Lutheran schools, we give thanks to God!

For music programs that teach and confess the triune God, we give thanks to God!

For art programs that help students to use their God-given abilities to create art that honors their Creator, we give thanks to God!

For science courses that help students to explore the wonders of the world that God created, we give thanks to God!

For Lutheran schools that intentionally weave the Christian faith into every subject, we give thanks to God!

For Lutheran schools that help children to understand their identity as children created in the image of God, loved by Him and one for whom Jesus died, we give thanks to God!

For Lutheran schools that teach children to love God and serve their neighbor in whatever vocation they are given, we give thanks to God!

For Lutheran schools as they teach God’s Word and Luther’s Small Catechism, we give thanks to God!

For Lutherans schools across our country and around the globe, we give thanks to God!
