The October edition of The Voice calls the Church to be a light in a dark world, beginning with a devotion from Interim District President Rev. Craig Otto, who encourages believers to boldly speak of Christ wherever God has placed them. That call to shine the light of Christ flows through each page of this issue, as the Missouri District lifts up ministries equipping the next generation and those who lead them.
From the One City Conference, where seven congregations united to affirm teens in their God-given identity and purpose, to the upcoming Tell the Next Generation Conference, focused on building Christ-centered homes, and the Lutheran College Fair, helping students discern faithful paths for the future—these efforts reflect a shared commitment to raising up disciples who carry the light of Christ into the world.
The theme continues in a celebration of the Principal 360 leadership program, which has prepared educational leaders to lead with emotional intelligence and gospel clarity. Finally, we introduce Ministry Clarity, a Spirit-led process from LCEF that helps congregations navigate change, rediscover their mission, and shine with renewed purpose.
