In this edition of "The VOICE", we recognize the many responsibilities that God calls us to honor through our vocations as leaders, parents, pastors, taxpayers, and more, throughout our time on this Earth. As President Hagan talks about in his opening letter, we often feel that, as God's children, we are "living in two kingdoms" - the kingdom here on Earth and the kingdom with Him in heaven. However, even while living in two kingdoms, we are called to fear, love, and trust in God above all things. We remember His promises to us as we gather each Sunday for Divine Services, and we carry those promises with us throughout our everyday lives - through times of both turmoil and triumph - no matter what happens in this Earthly kingdom. Living in two kingdoms requires a delicate balance that can, at times, be hard to manage as we go about our daily vocations here on Earth and find ourselves succumbing to the worries of this life. However, as you read through this edition of "The VOICE", it is our prayer that you are emboldened by the work that continues to happen throughout the Missouri District to build better disciples in Jesus, no matter the vocations we are called to fulfill. We pray for the continued strength to go about our duties with praise and thanksgiving, and when God calls us to the fields to work each day, we will gladly answer Him, "Here am I, send me."
