Hurricanes Helene and Milton have caused significant damage to churches, schools, and homes of members in the Southeastern and Florida-Georgia Districts. Lutheran Early Response Team (LERT) trained volunteers are needed. Missouri District LERT Disaster Response Coordinator, Kris Schuldt, has deployed to North Carolina with other volunteers from across the country.
LCMS members are also responding generously with their financial gifts. You can donate directly to the disaster response in either district or through the Synod at the links provided below where more updates from the ground in both districts can be found.

Please keep all those who have been affected by the hurricanes in your prayers. We give thanks for all of the LERT volunteers who are serving their neighbors in love. May God bless our care for those in need as we point them to the hope we have in Christ.
