Rev. James C. Rogers was called home to Jesus, Saturday, February 16, 2019. He is survived by his wife (Sharon), son (Jeremy), daughter (Alison), sister (Karen (David) Keune) and grandchildren, (Zoe and Kyan). Please keep his family in your prayers. He is preceded in death by his wife (Rona Gorthy).

A pastor of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, Rev. Rogers served congregations in Custer/Hill City, SD, Chesterfield, MO and Ironton, MO. After retiring, he continued to serve in Ironton as a vacancy pastor and as visitation pastor in St. John in Ellisville. Rev. Rogers earned his BA from Concordia University at Milwaukee and his MDiv from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis.

His memorial service will be held at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 15750 Baxter Road, Chesterfield, Saturday, February 23, at 11 a.m. There will be a luncheon following. Also, pastors should plan to vest.

The interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to LCMS Global Mission or Concordia Seminary in St. Louis.
