Missouri District announces opening of Mission Grant application

The Missouri District is pleased to announce that applications for Mission Grants for the award period July 2026 – June 2027 are now open. The District invites The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) congregations and affiliated organizations with a passion for local mission outreach to apply for funding that will support Gospel-centered initiatives across Missouri.

“The Missouri District seeks to use congregational support and donor gifts to plant new churches and expand and equip congregational community outreach,” said Executive Director of Congregational Services Rev. Peter Kirby. “We also support a number of Registered Service Organizations (RSOs), college and military ministries involved in Missouri District missions.”

The grant program is open to LCMS congregations, RSOs, Circuits, and Regional Mission Societies, with non-congregational applicants requiring a letter of endorsement from a partnering congregation. Funding is intended to support new or expanded mission efforts where the Gospel can make a transformative impact.
