Missouri District celebrates 2025 Call Day services Seminary students receive ministry placements, assignments
The Missouri District of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) joined with congregations and church workers across the Synod in celebrating Call Day 2025, a significant milestone in the lives of future pastors and deaconesses.
Each spring, the two LCMS seminaries—Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Ind., and Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Mo.—host special services where students receive their first pastoral or diaconal calls into ministry, as well as vicarage or internship assignments for their year of fieldwork. These placements mark an important step in their preparation for professional church work and lifelong service to Christ and His Church.
