Delores H. Mueller
June 27, 1932 – May 23, 2025

Delores was born June 27, 1932, to Edwin and Hilda (Pruetzel) Mussler in St. Louis County, Mo. July 17,1932, she was baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church in St. Louis. She had one sister, Marilyn (Evers), who was four years younger.

She began her education in public schools until she was in fifth grade and then was enrolled at Salem Lutheran School in Affton, Mo. She was confirmed April 14, 1946, by the Rev. Theo Gerken. She then attended Lutheran High School, which opened that fall, and graduated in 1950 as a member of its first graduation class.

After working a year at Missouri Medical Services (now Blue Cross), she enrolled at St. John's College, Winfield, Kan., in the teacher training program. Graduating in 1953, she was assigned to teach at Concordia Lutheran School in Cincinnati, Ohio. It was there that she met her life mate, Erich, who was assigned there from Concordia, River Forest, Ill.

She later taught at St. Jacobi Lutheran School in Jennings, Immanuel Chapel, and finally at Grace Chapel in Bellefontaine Neighbors. She taught various grades before serving as a kindergarten teacher for more than 25 years. In addition to teaching, she has taught Sunday School, sung in the church choir, and served an active part of ladies organizations.

Aug. 4, 1956, Erich and Delores were married at Salem Lutheran Church, Affton. At this time, Erich was teaching at Grace Chapel. They remained members at Grace for 55 years and were active in various congregational activities over the years.

In 2011, they moved to Breeze Park, a Lutheran retirement community in Weldon Springs, Mo. They became active there, with Delores working in the craft room, serving in LWML, arranging flowers for various areas, and serving elsewhere as needed. They transferred their church membership to Zion Lutheran Church, Harvester, and made many new friends there.

Together, they had three children: Sheryl Reinisch (Chris), Grace Peimann (Mark), and Joel Mueller (Nancy). They have four grandchildren: Nathan Peimann (Melissa), Gloria Peimann, Alex Peimann (Brandi), and Molly Mueller; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was at Breeze Park Chapel June 16, 2025. Interment at Our Redeemer Cemetery in Affton, Mo. Memorial contributions in memory of Delores may be made to Grace Chapel Lutheran School.
